Green Homes Grant applications for £10,000 vouchers welcomed

Home Owners and Landlords can now apply for a grant to help pay for energy saving measures needed to keep their homes warm and reduce bills.


The governments new Green homes grant allows homeowners and landlords to apply for vouchers up to £10,000. The improvements including fitting insulation, thermal source heaters and other secondary measures. Both landlords and homeowners can apply now. Applications are open.


Successful applicants for the Green Home Grants will be sent a voucher of up to £10,000 to cover up to two-thirds or fully funded if they are receiving any type of benefits. There are a number of benefits that qualify for the full £10,000 funding.

As winter approaches, people will be spending more time indoors especially during lockdown. These measures will help keep the heating bills to a minimum not just for this year but for future years.


There is a limit of 600,000 houses that can apply for this voucher as the funding is limited and therefore it is served on first come, first served basis.

The government aims to achieve their ambitious carbon emission reduction target by using this scheme and therefore everyone is benefitting from this government grant.
